Firstly, a Happy New Year to all our guests. We hope the year has started well for you. As always, we have started our New Year with a full clean down and maintenance of Tub Cottage, getting the essentials done such as testing and servicing as well as decorating and checking everything is in full working order. It’s lovely for us to spend extended time at the cottage and appreciate the views, particularly from the front bedroom window. The views looking over to Axe Edge in the distance have been stunning over the last few days, with blue skies and wonderful cloud formations. What better way to start the day than with a cuppa in bed, looking out onto this? We have also noticed the abundance of birds you can see from the cottage, mainly finches, robins, blue tits and great tits, sometimes a bit too distracting when there is work to do!!

Our first guests of the year arrive this week, then nearly every week is full until May, with bookings now starting to come in for the Summer months. Christmas and New Year are already booked for this year and we already have a booking for January 2023! It’s going to be a busy and enjoyable year again and as always we look forward to welcoming you to Tub Cottage. It will be lovely to see our regular guests again and also meet guests who are visiting for the first time. We hope you will enjoy your holiday with us, and experiencing the amazing scenery, the friendly cafes and pubs and all the other delights that the Peak District has to offer. See you soon!
