Lockdown 3 – January 2021

Firstly a Happy New Year to all our guests – past, present and future! It has been a strange Christmas and New Year for everyone and we have really missed welcoming our Christmas and New Year guests to Tub Cottage this year. Sadly, we will be closed until at least the middle/end of February. However, we are hopeful that the Spring will bring a light at the end of the tunnel and we will be able to open our doors once again and welcome guests back to Litton.

As always at this time of year, we take the opportunity to do a spring clean and refresh at the cottage. It also is an opportunity to have all the necessary health and safety checks done such as PAT testing and servicing of the boiler and gas fire. We have also recently upgraded the cottage to faster broadband for the benefit of our guests and, as previously mentioned in the November blog, we also have also upgraded the television.

Despite the current situation with Covid, our advance bookings for this Spring/Summer are looking very healthy, with all of July and August fully booked and only a few weeks left in April, May, June and September. Spring is a particularly lovely time to visit the Litton as the lambs are out in the fields and the village greens are full of daffodils. The weather is usually good too, but as always in Litton, we have the usual breeze, which is inevitable being 1,000 feet above sea level!

I am sure that this year will see us getting back to some kind of normality and we are really looking forward to welcoming our guest back to Tub Cottage in the not too distance future.

Warm regards,

Leonie, Eric and May
